Hello I wanted to know if you can make a 3D view with 360 rotation on the same map with a top down view? Perhaps there are triggers that can stop camera rotations?

I mean 3d in that there is a planet and you rotate your view around it a complete 360 degrees and then there is the main view
which should be locked as a top down view. I am wondering if this is feasible.
Technically it would be a small planet.. you would have to make your map in the center of the height of the map" and i suppose "shrink" all the elements to populate it.
No.. i don't think galaxy would be good for the "all around" experience.. sorry to say :/
the idea is good don't get me wrong.. a lot of work but awe sum.. however that is theoretical, putting it on the sc2 canvas seems not as awesome (i'm thinking of unplayable lag result in multiplayer mostly :/ )
Furthermore that task requires pure coding, not something the blizzard devs "want" you to do at the start (no "tools" are available for beginners to do that sort of thing). The shape and stats of the plane / layer known as terrain are not "blocked" (hardcoded in / unchangeable) as far as i know.. .. so.. technically :D do able i think, totally crazy for this platform, good luck have fun
i had fantasies about all those space 360 environment for like 3 decades (i dreamed of those for years and they started to come out when i was leaving gaming/mapmaqueeing so i never even got to "invest" in them).

not sure what you mean by "3D 360 rotation" and top view.
My map is a multiplayer scripted
top down starcraft view
and
i added chat commands so that players can "choose" their view (still very much a work in progress)
and I am in the process of populating the map ..
(which is an "open city" (not a single player "rail" type of map that players HAVE to follow!))
.. with areas that change the camera view
(so as to make more cinematic "boss" fights / events take place)
So.. i guess my answer is yes.. my map has both these and it works (again, i'm a noob and my triggers are awful)!
If you need a list of triggers (or other) that would get you started, just ask :)
