Hi, i'm here to reboot this "Cynteor" project. This project was initiated last year sometime, but I wasn't able to continue on to really produce any valuable resources.
Doing it alone is way too hard and time consuming for me. But I have this clear passion and idea of this new race, and starcraft of course. I've actually put down a document that describes the characteristics and design of each unit of this race. It seems to me that if that this project would have a result, the result will be "balance breaking", hopefully.
I'm a college student, the time i can use for this project is limited, but I'm able to pull out a few designs for this new race every day and weekends. Though i need help with modelling/animating and texturing. I'm really not specialized at 3D.
I'm here to ask if anybody with SC2 modelling/animating/texturing experience and would like to be a part of this project, please contact me through email, or leave your comment below so I can know.
If we are able to set up a small team, either 2 people or 10, I will be responsible for bringing this project to an good end.
I hope you guys won't ask me for payments. :P

I might wanna help out with some stuff, cause I'm a 3D modeler, although a lot of people here are way better in texturing, so maybe you need one of them too :)
I do have a rough idea about where was this race came from is and why they entered korprulu sector, but if later on I have a campaign need to do for this project, i may want your help about the story. :D
Some Updates
This project currently is still in pre-production stage, where concepts and ideas are still filling in, nothing in game has been done yet.
So, some more detail about this project, and my goal.
Cynteor is an AI-based Synthetic Civilization located in the dark of the universe, unlike terran, protoss and zerg, its been hidden for millenniums. Their extremely advanced technology is even beyond protoss's intelligence. They come to korprulu sector to seek for possible resources that can further advance their AI, or expand their civilization.
So that's the rough idea of what they are. Artificial Intelligent Robots who are seeking for perfection.
The base color scheme of this race is white-gray-ish with minimal color vibrance (All concept art will have them in team color)
What this Mod will have in the end:
Entire assets for this race, include 3D models & Textures for structures, VFX and units. Sound or voice acting for everything. All data that makes the mod playable through Battle.net. Possible extra assets for Terran, Zerg and protoss(though these will be avoided as much as possible to reduce the work, cuz there are already a lot of works has to be done).
My expectation for this mod is that the finished mod will visually looks the same quality as the original SC2 are, just like an official expansion. And after that, if we are lucky enough, Banlancing update can be launched through out time.
Great to see you are back to it! Love the concept art too this is gunna be a great mod. You probably aren't too far along with the data part of it but have you figured out how to make a race selectable in a battle.net lobby? I'm having a ton of trouble with it but I know it's possible because the Mecha race mod has it.
l'd just download that mod and open it in editor to check how its done. I personally hasn't try that yet, but that's a very good question. I only know that if you try the Hybrid race mod, choosing random race has a 90% chance of getting you a Hybrid race. TBH, that mod feels kinda suck.. lol
I may give it a try later on. If by any means it doesn't occur to me, then I'd find another way around.
It's a tool in blender that automatically create a surface bridge over 2 rails of vertices, like when you have a rectanglar shape inside a surface, it automatically fill it up along the vertices, and they follows the geometric tangency and curvatrue.

Few sketches
Cynteor Sentinel, tier I unit, Melee damage, faster than marine, slower than speedling. Upgrade increase attack range and allows cloak when idle.
VFX for Infantry, the projectile extends to reach target and then vapourize, Infantry exaust some steam-ish smoke.
