yea , it is a very cool ingame-3d banner to put my team logo at. But Blizzard gave up on this and put this crappy version instead :
I wanted to make the older one , but i have like 0% experience in 3d modelling , luckily we have a plenty of models to start , just search in the editor , they're called AIBeacons. So , can someone make a very quick model of that 3d banner , with the team-logo changeable ? I think GameHeart & general sc2 observers would greatly benefit it ...
I don't know how to get it to work, I think you should script it so that it appears above every structure when you deploy them.
Changing every single structure model and applying that banner to it is madness.
Each structure probably has a Overhead Attachment point ( I presume), and you should add the banner to it.

? I cant get this stuff working ... i see a zerg icon in the png file. Can you please send a screenshot of what it looks like in-game ?

Second pic is just a texture swap of the normal ground splats around the nexus which is easy with the Texture Select By ID method.
As the pic is so low quality I cannot say what model was used for the first, but I am sure the editor has it already.
