The Archon's Blue Glow is changeable? I wanted to create another type of archon, like the "Dark Protoss" (Green) Archon and Narezim (Red) Archon (Dark Archon)
I wanted to create a different archon. And I just need to change it's Blue Glow.
Blue glow of archon model is defined by plasmaburn...something.dds texture. You can see it if open the model in cutscene editor, press shift+d and expand materials. You can import a texture with the exact same name, it will replace the default one. But if you want multiple different archins, you need to export the model, and edit texture name with hex editor, and then import the model and edited textures.
Otherwise export the corresponding textures(cutscene editor, place the model then hit ctrl + d/ rightclick show model data and find them) edit with photoshop
then import new textures under new name, and texture select by ID.

Not true, you can texture select the original model just have multiple actors.

I heard it doesn't work for textures without _diffuse and shit.
@Zolden: Go
It does.
Thanks a lot! but this also means that I need to edit the texture manualy with photoshop?
That depends on what you need. The example map attached to the previous post doesn't use any imported textures.
also if you dont have photoshop, you can use GIMP(Free photoshop alternative), but you will need the .DDS plugin for whichever program you use
I'm having some problem to modify the glow myself while following the Tutorial, I wanted to make it Purple. but it stay Blue.
PS: there is a problem with the last part of the tutorial. some pics don't appears like the events.
