So how do I make an attachment point in 3ds max? I looked at Marine.m3 but what I tried didn't work. For a custom model I simply created one joint 'inside' the head called it Ref_Head, resized the joint as it was a huge pyramid to be inside the head, did the same for a Ref_Origin, being a separate single joint, Did I have to make a 2nd joint from each of the two joins?
When I exported the model and imported in the map, the model only loads in the Previewer, does not load in the map, says 'Cannot load model'. At first I didn;t make editable mesh the two joints but the same result was after I converted each of the two joints to Editable Mesh, the model mesh itself is already Editable Mesh and another version of the model works fine without the newly added joints. Also Previewer shows Attachment Points (0), so fail in my attempt to make attachment point. What is wrong with it?
Why no1 answered when some do models? o.O Haha it's been under my nose, how didn't I see this Helpers and starcraft 2 Objects. Is it part of the M3 export script? Really nice, if one made a separate Application without 3ds Max out of that script involving materials set, attachments, ... would be way cool
