Hi guys, I've managed to get the 3ds import script to work for just about all the models i've imported or exported, but for some reason portrait models bug out. Even if I don't modify them, when exported to the galaxy editor the camera focuses on their feet. In addition, in 3ds max the portrait models only have one animation; rootpose.
Is this normal? And if it isn't, has anybody run into this problem before?
I don't think the script supports exporting cameras, so thats why it focuses on their feet even if you don't edit anything, and I'm not really sure about the animation thing, are you checking Import Animations (I think thats the name) when importing?
so no luck for importing cameras. however, is it possible to create a working camera in 3ds max on my own? I'm not sure if there are conventions that blizzard sticks to when creating the camera for portrait models.
as for the animations, there is another file named "required nimations", I think that is where the animations are but it's seperate and I don't think importing one after the other works. technically, if that file exists and I import the modified model it should react to that file? though it doesn't. surely someone else has tangled with portrait models before? if you have I would certainly appreciate your imput.

yeah, It's checked by default so I left it on.
on the page for the 3ds import script it says
"Currently Imports: - Geometry - Bones - Materials - Animation - Attachments - Particle Emitters"
