a question occured to me. How difficult is to import buff and magic effects from the World of Warcraft mpq into SC2? Has anyone done this before? Is there maybe a package of such effects somewhere?
Yeah, I tried importing some but they look really weird and their animations don't work properly. They play the first few frames and then just stop. Pity, could have been a nice database for lots of cool effects.

Just curious.

You can use the WoW model viewer for that, but last time I checked a lot of them do not work properly or look strange in sc2 :/

There is an etire topic under "art assets" with tons of working models.
As a direct answer to the question; partical effects, such as spells and buffs, will not import into SC2.
Someone told me, this was fixed a while ago.
I have the latest version of WMV. And, to my knowledge, particles do not transfer from it to SC2.
