Since I can't find the right models that I'm looking for, I like to know how to extract M3 models from Heroes of the Storm. Where are the models? CASC View will not work because it keeps disappearing on me every time it leaves its WinRAR folder, and Heroes of the Storm has no MPQ files. I have the software that converts the Heroes of the Storm model files into SC2 model files, but I don't have the means of extracting the files.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: Will I also find audio files in these unknown locations as well?
What do you mean, every time it leaves the winrar folder???
btw, you CANNOT extract everything from HotS at once since some files seem to crash the CASC viewer, other than that, it should work perfectly, please check my tutorials for more details.

When I pull the CASC application file out of the WinRAR archive, the file disappears from my desktop just a couple of seconds later.

@StarGazingContinuum: Go
are you dragging the files out or actually using the extract function? cuz dragging in my experince is buggy.
Yes, I'm dragging the files out, while the extraction button is doing nothing.
@TaylorMouse: Go
And TaylorMouse, I was also looking for a model of a fully armored Jim Raynor in his Vulture. Why is that no longer there? I wanted it.
Hi all,
Has anyone else encountered a problem with using CASC viewer to open Heroes of the Storm Data files?
I looked at the developer site and it mentions making sure there is a build.db file in the game folder...
all I have are "build.info" and "launcher.db"
The program manages to detect the installs but when I try to open the game storage I get an error message (see attachment)
Is this an incompatibility with the latest build?
Any info would be much appreciated
No, it is because on the games is updating probably, then it puts a read only on the file that the CASC viewer uses.
Close the Battle.net starter if all the games are updated, and try again.
I had this issue a while back and spend 3 hours figuring why it didn't work :)
