Defence of the Universe
- This map is a map of AoS style.
- Two factions, Amber and Chaos fight each other and trying to figure out who among them are the strongest.
- You can choose from 6 unique heroes: Dark Templar, Ghost, High Templar, Marauder, Marine, Ultralisk. Each of them has a 4 different abilities.
- In the map offers the full classical mechanics AoS map with the new chips.
Druid of the Talon: Stalker (or some range unit) Treant: Zealot
so on and so forth
Well the problem in making a total new map/heroes/items etc would be that it would take a shitlongtime to balance, fix, do, etc etc. It would be easier to just copy dota, can't see the meaning in that though if there are not alot of new gamemechanics that can be implented. You need WC3 to play dota, which of course is cheaper but starcraft cost twice as much as hon so that is a much better choice if you want this kind of map.
I would change the name though or ask icefrog if you can take the name, now. You are riding on his success if you keep this name and if you do so you should ask if it's okay.
Please, add locale strings for non-enUS clients. (in particular for ruRU)
I just tried this map, pretty good. I mean DotA was a great game, it still is. I wouldn't mind playing it on Starcraft 2 again.
Just a suggestion, like Zek23 said. Why not put some creativity and create same genre style of map with its own Starcraft 2 futuristic galaxy theme and new original space/alien heroes and elements? Like Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends. I think it would be awesome. DotA had its own theme and everything originated from the Warcraft III world.

Zek23 imo you are wrong the original dota is much better then hon, furthermore hon costs while dota is pretty much free...
Krovin i tried to publish your map to play with my friends and apparently it's too big the max size is about 10.5MB while you have 11.6. if you can somehow shrink the size that will be great. [no worries i was gonna publish it by the name "DotA 0.8c by KorvinGump" while locked and private :x.]
I don't want to discourage you, but to be honest, Heroes of Newerth is already a better DotA clone than anything that can be done in the map editor, and I think it will inherit most of the community. DotA is an old game with room for improvement though IMO, why not do something new in the same genre?
Hey just another small bug, the force field doesn't seem to work any more. It appears and the duration is for the correct amount of time, except all units can walk through it. (I didn't try it for all ability levels, only level one)
Hi. I released version 0.8a. I tried to solve the problem with localization. I did as it is written tutorial by xhatix. I'm not sure whether you have all localized. Please write reviews here if it is not difficult.
I want to ask permission IceFrog when the time comes. At the moment it is not required.
I personatly think giving it WC3 names isn't going to go over well I was hoping for a DoTA with SC2 concept.never the less It was fun.
Asked icefrog for permission if this is gonna be like dota? Or are you just tkaing the concept and creatin everything else yourself?
The GalaxyEditor will still be available to all. It's not need connecting to battle.net to work in the editor. So I had more than two months before the release of the game:D. I hope that by that time will be less playable map.

are you planning on recipes or are you gonna leave it like that? either way i think you should focus more on the editing and less on the icons and shits... because like i said you got only about 2 weeks.... no pressure huh?
If you have param value on buttons, heroes, items and so on, you must open all of them in map and press ok, same with triggers, still no good solution here. The translation is everywhere, it's a bug map editor. I don't know why it happened. When i open other maps, i have param value too on buttons and units.
I know that the hero loses items when dies, i will correct it soon, but much harder to deal with storage abilities.
P.S. I plan to make a full version of DotA.
Hey great work so far, are you planning on completely cloning dota or adding some starcraft elements to it? I noticed a few bugs (or things that still need to be done) but you probably already know about them;
1. When your hero dies he loses his items (plus you have to respec your skills)
2. When you buy an item it drops on the ground instead of going into your inventory
3. Lots of things still need proper labelling, i.e Strength, Agility, Intelligence, abilities/skills, as well as skill improvements, items, gold received on kills, etc.

It was not bug, i purposely left this button to get experience because when the tower kills creeps hero do not take experience and it's very hard to play without it. I released new version 0.7a. There are no buttons for the experience. Now you can do it with the appropriate command. Fixed bag with using psi storm. Learn abilities add stats now have requirements. This map is entirely in English, if you have param value you must open triggers and edit them.
something is buggy about this...I was able to click the add stats button and it gave my marine free xp. So i shot straight to lvl 25 and got all the upgrades =P
edit: oh, and localize this please!
