How to play
The map is currently published on EU and US servers. Alternatively you can download an older version from the following link, however, the map is protected so the simplest way to play it is to drag & drop the map file on your starcraft2 esecutable.

Quick Description
This map is freely inspired to Dungeon Keeper 2 but all the game will be transported to the starcraft universe.
That means that all DK units, rooms and spells will be converted in SC2 units, giving them similar roles and abilities as they had in the original game.
Wanted features
- Dungeon Keeper 2 remake with some changes (Research system, Creature abilities, etc.)
- Different gameplays (Survival, Versus, Coop, Sandbox)
- Selectable premade maps
- Map editor with ability to share maps inside or outside the game
- Campaign

I know you're basically gone now, and the map is forever dead and over with. But just in case you were going to pick it up again, I had some thoughts and suggestions. Also you should look for my review on the map in SC2.
[[battlenet://starcraft/map/1/13552|battlenet://starcraft/map/1/13552]]
1. New game modes;
Prepare Mode - Letting you click send next wave button when you are ready. Instead of at random intervals or even timed intervals. Sort of a sandbox mode gameplay. Corners Mode - All hive hearts are in the very corners of the map. If there is AI, they are at the center Ally Share Mode - Combine territory from allies, sharing vespene and resources. Maybe more. Infinite Wave - Each wave is more difficult than the last. Enemies increase in number or strength, once at a maximum number of 30 or so units.
2. Walls;
There should be a way of building a new wall, like the rest of the walls, automatically under your control (your creep). OR At the very least, a way of marking a wall so that you don't knock it down, but instead clear it of it's resources.
Possibly, if you allow the construction of walls, letting us build stronger walls, that are more solid in texture. This is just an additional thought, not something I require or care greatly about.
3. Building, mining, area select;
When I am mining, I have no clue what walls will be selected when I am dragging and dropping. Sometimes, for some weird reason, even though I knew that I selected only that one row, I get multiple rows. There should be a sort of preview for what is about to be selected. Same for constructing a 'room'. When I am dragging and dropping a selection to place a 5x5 room of some kind, sometimes it falls slightly short, or too large by a little. I'd like a preview of the area that will be affected by this. Perhaps just light up the cell a little, but you could do a preview of the room type you are about to drop in.
4. Tutorial;
Tutorial should unlock everything to be researched after and give you a send wave button to test stuff in and learn more about it, instead of just ending the game and leaving everything locked when you click continue.
5. Lobby Stuff;
It seems there are a few useless options in Lobby that you could do with removing so that they don't spam up the list. One is Teams. You can't seem to select teams, which appears to be based on the game type you choose. The other is Privacy, which doesn't seem to serve any purpose at all. Removing these could make the list a little nicer, small thing to change, super easy and all. :P
Existor did a great job ;)
I like the new art
As soon as it's multiplayer, I'll play it
I check this page and the forum for Hive Keeper updates on your progress. I've never awaited a custom game so anxiously.
@SnyderGuy: Go
The single player doesn't have great bugs, I just need to add some features that are required to make the game playable and not just to be a preview demo.
The blizzcon timelimit wasn't a concrete objective, now I realy want to release the map before the end of the year and I know I can do it :P
Your a little off if you hoped to release b4 blizzcon, that's okeyz... But lets get some new info, you updated quite a while ago, Can you release the single player soon or no? I understand about the bugs, but in the past months, it has HAVE to gotten better, right?
@Bibendus: Go
Just got my internet back and best of luck to you considering its less then a week away. If your successful though I'll make sure to get all my buds to help get it to the top of the list. Its gonna be sweet!
@Guardian58: Go
Hoping to release the map soon, maybe before the blizzcon ;)
I honestly cannot wait for this to be completed, I check on its progress every day now! Great work so far!
@Drazcmd: Go
Thanks ;)
If you want to partecipate to the beta just follow the forums. this week end I may start a test to find the performance issue cause
Hey, I was just wondering when you were planning to start getting people for beta? Everything you got here looks amazing XD
I opened a forum to start building up a community for Hive Keeper
http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/hive-keeper/forum/
I will soon (max 10 days) start the closed alpha phase. To have a chance to partecipate you should join #SC2Mapster IRC channel on freenode servers. I will search there for players.
Here are the instructions to join the IRC chat: http://wiki.sc2mapster.com/irc-information/
You may find me on bnet chat in channel "EnclaveStudio" when it's the moment.
I will host the game on EU or US server depending on what players I can find
@ dra6o0n
Do you mean the selection drag that was enabled on the original Dungeon keeper?
In that case I was giong to use the new trigger for mouse movement to drag selection squares inside the interested mouse area.
He still needs to change the way the "tiles" are dropped... Isn't there a way to modify how the game "drops down" structures and try to make it seem like a dragged on tile???
Because until its made simpler, its still a little confusing to use the rectangular drag box to indicate things...
This is going to be awesome :D
Looking amazing man :)
I just hope it will be fully multiplayer!
Very good work :)
Yep, here is the list of my TODO jobs
- Units message floating texts
